Tunable Diode Laser Spectroscopy (TDLAS)
How it works
Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) detects gases by measuring the absorption of laser light as it passes through a gas sample.
A laser, tuned to a specific wavelength that a target gas absorbs, is directed through the gas. As the gas absorbs light at this wavelength, the laser's intensity decreases. This change is detected and analyzed to determine the gas concentration. TDLAS is highly sensitive, selective, and fast, making it ideal for detecting trace gases in various environments, including industrial, environmental, and medical applications.
