Optical Gas Imaging (OGI)
How it works
Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) detects and visualizes gas leaks by using infrared cameras tuned to specific wavelengths absorbed by gases like methane. The camera captures the infrared radiation emitted or absorbed by the gas, making the otherwise invisible gas visible as a cloud or plume in the image. OGI is highly sensitive, allowing for real-time detection of leaks, even from a distance, enhancing safety and environmental monitoring in industries.
Advantages
-
Real-Time Detection: Provides immediate visualization of gas leaks, enabling quick response.
-
Non-Intrusive: Detects leaks without halting operations or requiring contact with the source.
-
Safety: Enhances safety by identifying leaks from a distance, reducing exposure risk.
-
Environmental Protection: Helps in early detection, minimizing emissions and environmental impact.
-
Cost-Effective: Reduces inspection time and costs by covering large areas quickly.
-
Versatility: Detects various gases across different industries and environments.
